YOUTH PROFILES
I had a great time helping at Hill Country Bowhunters for the 2025 season.
Meeting new shooters, learning from pros and making new friends were my favorite parts.
I used my Award money to go on a weekend hunt in Sweetwater, Tx and was blessed to take down an amazing Dahl Ram.
We spent 3 hours stalking him and I was able to harvest him with a shot at about 75 yards, my first time shooting off hand!
My mom and the guide, Steve were very proud of me.
I am thankful for the opportunity to have adventures like this because of my involvement with HCB.

Thank you for your generous scholarship. This year I am going to use the money for Girl Scout Sleep Away Camp at Texlake. Last year you allowed me to use the money for camp as well, and I had so much fun. The theme for this past year was Harry Potter. We made potions, practiced archery, enjoyed campfires, s’mores, sang songs and did skits.
I am still a junior and will be going to camp and the theme is Midnight Mischief, focused on astronomy, and nighttime navigation, but if I sell enough cookies i may be able to go to a horseback riding camp. I am looking forward to it and cannot wait to tell everyone about it at the following shoot in the summer.
I look forward to volunteering this season. Thank you so much for the support and everything you are able to provide for me.

Thank you for the scholarship. I really enjoyed volunteering and setting up the 3D targets and cones, and helping with concessions.
I used my scholarship to go fishing over Christmas break in Port Aransas. We went on a boat and caught alot of fish. We went with my cousins from New York. I caught sand trout, grunts, flounder, speckled trout, and a lizard fish. We used shrimp for bait. The guide liked that I was baiting my own hook and unhooking my fish all on my own. I had alot of fun and got over my fear of boats. My dad only caught one fish. We cooked the fish we brought back for dinner that night and had fish tacos. I already want to go back.
Thank you so much for the support.
